Moshen Musa Lumeh is a hospital administrator at the Hatfield Archer Memorial Hospital in Rotifunk, Sierra Leone. The facility has served the Rotifunk community with essential aid for 70 years.
Moshen received his secondary education at the Bo School, an exclusive government secondary school. He later attended Njala University for his higher diploma in Community Health and Clinical Sciences. In 2022, he returned for his bachelor’s in the same study area. After graduating, Moshen worked as a Community Health and Clinical Officer at Hatfield Archer Memorial Hospital. Serving in this role for a year, he then stepped into the role of Hospital Manager, which he has held since 2017.
One of the challenges Moshen sees his community face, is a high prevalence of community members opting for herbal remedies instead of professional medical care. Moshen says this is largely a result of limited economic opportunity, trapping families in poverty and limiting their ability to afford care.
CMMB’s Medical Donations Program is proud to serve patients at Moshen’s facility with critical medicines and medical supplies. About the impact of the program’s interventions, Moshen says, “Donation drugs have helped save many lives at the hospital, and on community outreaches, since these services are rendered for free.”
