Ethics in Action

Putting Our Values into Action

At CMMB, our commitment to ethical conduct and our core values guide every aspect of our work. Our Global Code of Conduct serves as a comprehensive framework to ensure that we uphold the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and respect in all our operations. Inspired by the example of Jesus, we work globally to deliver sustainable, quality health solutions to women, children, and their communities. Our core values of Collaboration, Love, Excellence, Accountability, and Respect are integral to how we operate and interact with our stakeholders.

Compliance Hotline

We are dedicated to maintaining a culture of transparency and open communication. At CMMB, we believe that everyone has a role in upholding our ethical standards and ensuring that we stay true to our values. The Compliance Hotline is a crucial part of this commitment, providing a confidential and secure way for employees, volunteers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns or violations of our Global Code of Conduct.

Reporting Concerns

If you have any concerns, questions, or need to report a violation of our Global Code of Conduct, please reach out to Michael Woliver, the Director of Ethics and Compliance, at: MWoliver@cmmb.org

If you prefer to communicate anonymously, you may do so through our third-party serviced Compliance Hotline website. We assure all reporters that their concerns will be taken seriously and handled with the utmost confidentiality.

Key Policies

To support our mission and values, we have established a set of key policies that guide our conduct and ensure a safe, ethical, and respectful environment for all. These policies are designed to protect our employees, volunteers, donors, beneficiaries, and the communities we serve. They cover a range of important issues, from preventing harassment and discrimination to safeguarding children and combating corruption. Below are a sample of our key policies that form the cornerstone of our ethical framework:

Anti-Harassment and Non-Discrimination

We are committed to providing a work environment free from harassment and discrimination. Our policy prohibits any form of discrimination based on protected characteristics such as sex, race, religion, national origin, disability, and more. We take immediate action to investigate and address any complaints of harassment or discrimination.

Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH)

CMMB stands firmly against any form of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment. Our PSEAH policy is designed to protect the most vulnerable populations we serve. We follow the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) standards and ensure that any allegations are thoroughly investigated, and appropriate actions are taken.

Child Safeguarding

Children’s safety is a top priority in our operations. Our Child Safeguarding Policy aims to prevent abuse and protect children through stringent guidelines and training for all staff, volunteers, and partners. We adhere to international standards and local laws to create a safe environment for all children we interact with.

Anti-Corruption and Fraud

CMMB has a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and fraud. We are committed to ethical practices and require all employees, volunteers, and partners to report any suspicions of fraudulent activities. Our policies ensure rigorous checks and balances to prevent and detect corruption and fraud.

Conflict of Interest

We strive to avoid any conflicts of interest that could compromise our integrity. Our Conflict of Interest Policy requires all employees and affiliates to disclose any potential conflicts and refrain from participating in decisions where such conflicts may exist.

By adhering to our Global Code of Conduct, we ensure that every member of our community upholds these values and contributes to a safe, ethical, and respectful environment.

For more detailed information, you can access our Global Code of Conduct available in English.
