In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells the familiar parable of the sower. Seeds are scattered widely, but only those with the right conditions take root and flourish.

Growth happens all around us, every day. We see it in our backyards as flowers bloom. We see it as our children experience new things. But growth rarely happens all at once. Whether we’re planting a garden or caring for those we love, lasting change takes time and, often, meaningful support.

Gertrude’s story reminds us of this truth. With guidance on nutrition, regular growth monitoring, and compassionate accompaniment, Gertrude has watched her son, Miracle, who lives with a disability, grow stronger over the years. His journey is a reminder that everyone deserves the resources to thrive—and that families have access to trusted, high-quality care close to home.

This week, may we look for the ways we can help share the resources needed to thrive in our own lives and in the lives of others.
