Darnelle Bernier is Vice President of the Medical Donations Program. Darnelle has over 15 years’ experience working to advance access to healthcare in the developing world and is responsible for the strategy and development of the CMMB pharmaceutical and medical supply donation program, which reaches over 3,000 health facilities in over 35 countries each year. Darnelle joined CMMB in 2011 and successfully grew MDP partnerships and donations received. Previously, she served as Senior Manager in the Global Health Department of the American Cancer Society, overseeing the expansion of Global Relay for Life (GRFL) program, a community engagement and volunteerism program licensed to NGO partners in worldwide, and successfully increasing participation from seven to twenty-one countries.  Darnelle serves as the Chair of the Board of the Partnership for Quality Medical Donations (2019-2020) and has served as Communications Committee Chair (2018-2019) for the multi-sector association committed to championing and advancing standards in medical supply and service donations.

Darnelle is a graduate of Connecticut College with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies. She’s also completed the Thunderbird Global School of Management Social Sector Leadership Program and The George Washington University School of Business Global Social Enterprise Initiative – New Strategies Leadership Program.
