As a partner at McCarter & English since 1989 and longtime member of its executive committee, Scott Kobler has participated in New Jersey’s largest and most complex healthcare transactions, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and capital financing, representing both lenders and providers. His practice extends outside the state and into the higher education, housing, and nonprofit sectors. He has served for many years on the boards operating New Jersey’s public television system, beginning with the New Jersey Public Broadcasting Authority (NJN), where he was chair under five governors. He is on the executive committee of Public Media New Jersey (NJTV), an affiliate of WNET/Channel 13.

He is also a trustee of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and the Newark Alliance, having served for two decades as a board and executive committee member and now as a life trustee. He supports the work of Integrity House, the nationally recognized not-for-profit substance use disorder treatment center, where he is a past honoree and a member of the President’s Council. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University; attended Princeton’s Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Planning; and earned a juris doctor degree from the Boston University School of Law.

Mr. Kobler joined the CMMB Board of Directors in 2019 and serves on the Advancement and Governance Committees.
