Today’s Gospel brings us to witness a well-known and pivotal moment in our faith. Jesus tells Peter that he will be the rock upon which the Church is built. Peter’s faith becomes a foundation, with generations of faith strengthened upon it.

Strong foundations change everything. In South Sudan, Jenity spent decades walking an hour each way just to collect water, a burden she carried since girlhood. Promises of a water source had come before, but nothing changed. When CMMB arrived to assess her community, it was a different outcome. Now, a sustainable water yard sits just a minute from her home. Jenity’s life has transformed. “God had seen my tears,” she shared.

Just as Peter’s faith became a foundation for something greater, a water yard becomes a foundation for a family’s health, dignity, and future.
