To Be Seen Is to Be Valued—Your Weekly Reflection

In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells us about a landowner who goes out to find workers several times throughout the day. Each time, he finds people in the market still waiting for work. The landowner continues to hire the people he sees left in the market, even well into the afternoon. It is meaningful to be seen. To be seen is to be recognized as someone whose needs matter, whose dignity is worth protecting, and whose life is valuable.

Around the world, too many people face barriers to accessing the medical care they need. When health facilities lack essential medicines and supplies, it is often the people with the fewest resources who are left waiting to be seen.

Through CMMB’s Access to Medicines program, we work to help change that. By connecting health facilities with donated medicines and medical supplies, we help make quality care more accessible to people and communities who might otherwise be overlooked—and left without the dignified care they deserve.
