Department and program Overview

CMMB is a leading faith-based NGO focused exclusively on global health care for the world’s poor, by building healthy, sustainable communities through community engagement and partnerships. Now entering its second century, CMMB is committed to integrating and focusing its programming around saving the lives of children and mothers by concentrating on leading causes of mortality in targeted communities.  CMMB works globally with physical presence in five countries (Haiti, Kenya, Peru, South Sudan, and Zambia) where we implement our signature CHAMPS program with the goal to contribute positive, durable health outcomes for mothers and children in resource-poor settings.  CHAMPS is our trust and long-term commitment to vulnerable communities, and to ending preventable maternal and child deaths while building the capacity of local health systems and communities. Routine monitoring of the CHAMPS model outcome data is showing promising impact.  Thus, in its current strategic phase, CMMB has committed to refine and package the model to help guide implementation and replication by others.
