At this time of year, I am found counting my blessings during my morning reflection. After thanking God for my family and friends, I often call to mind the work that CMMB accomplishes each day. I feel profound gratitude for being part of a mission as large as that of CMMB, and to know that there are so many people like you who are on the journey with us and our field staff.

I appreciate supporters like you who want to reach out and touch the lives of people around the world. These are people that you will never meet, and people who can never thank you personally for ensuring that their child got treated for malaria, that their baby was delivered by a skilled midwife, or that their family received a few chickens to produce eggs to add protein for their children’s growth. I feel fortunate that I have the chance to see the work up close and meet these grateful families. But your gift is humbling to me, as most of our donors will never be able to visit the families whose lives and hopes have been transformed.

On behalf of the families and health workers who benefit from your generosity, I pass on their thanks to you. You are making a difference through your support of our mission and I hope you count this chance to make a difference among your blessings this Thanksgiving.

With gratitude,

Mary Beth Powers
Chief Executive Officer, CMMB
