For many around the world, this weekend marks the final celebrations of our Christmas season. Our Gospel today, the Epiphany of the Lord, resonates deeply with us at CMMB as an opportunity to reflect on the gifts shared throughout this special season.

The three Magi followed a star until it guided them to the place where Jesus was born. It says in our Gospel: “They were overjoyed at seeing the star, and on entering the house. They saw the child with Mary his mother. They prostrated themselves and did him homage.”

The Magi presented three gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to Jesus. Each gift may be considered an indication of the events that Jesus is to face in his future.

For us at CMMB, we embrace this new year inspired by the incredible gifts our community shared during the Christmas season. In the coming days and months, you can trust that your contributions to our mission will make a real difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters in need.
