Jesus tells us that the Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed. Though it begins small, it flourishes into a tree where “the birds of the sky come and dwell in its branches.” Its growth has transformed the tree into a welcome place of shelter and rest for the birds.  

For us at CMMB, this parable is a reminder that God’s Kingdom and mission make room for everyone—removing barriers, extending compassion, and helping our neighbors flourish.  

CMMB recently expanded its Noncommunicable Disease Impact Initiative to Nigeria in partnership with the Rolan Foundation. By strengthening primary healthcare and improving access to treatment for diabetes and hypertension, this partnership is creating room to care for communities that have too often gone without it—removing barriers to medicine access, supporting health workers to extend compassionate care, and helping our brothers and sisters in Nigeria flourish.    

Like the mustard seed, meaningful change often begins with just one act of faith. With God’s grace, those small beginnings can grow into lasting hope, healing, and dignity for many.
