Susan Stringham

Volunteer Position: Nurse Educator at Mutomo Mission Hospital, Kenya

Service Period: February 2022 – March 2022 (2 Months)

Background:  Susan Stringhamis a recent MPH graduate, with 20 years of professional experience as a registered nurse. She is also a qualified social worker, and has had exposure to international work. Susan has previously trained a research team in Burundi, East Africa. With the support of an interpreter, she recruited 20 locals and taught them the research protocol she developed and the International Review Board (IRB) guidelines. With CMMB, Susan has supported the development of our Kap survey and the development of nursing course outlines for remote nursing education. In addition, she developed the content for vital health statistics for Mutomo Mission Hospital and supported the recruitment of volunteers in the Specialist’s absence.
