The Kenya Red Cross Society (Msalaba Mwekundu la Kenya in Swahili) is one of the many International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement societies around the world. It is funded by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria.
Established in 1965 through an Act of Parliament (Cap 256 of the Laws of Kenya), the Kenya society runs a number of projects while raising Kenyan public awareness about relevant issues or problems, including famine, blood services, first aid, disaster, emergency, education, and health.
