Chevanese, who has extensive experience in healthcare management, pharmacy, and public health, began her career as a licensed pharmacist after graduating with honors from the University of Technology in 2011. Prior to joining Food For The Poor-Jamaica, she worked in various capacities within the healthcare industry, including community pharmacy. It was through her exposure to community pharmacy that Chevanese was able to personally interact with patients, while dispensing medications and free healthcare advice. This was also the experience she credits for her smooth transition into the non-profit sector.
She attributes her strong work ethic, confidence, discipline, and willingness to help others, to her parents and her Christian roots.
Thank you, Chevanese!
