Sunday’s Gospel is a beautiful reminder of what truly matters. Jesus speaks of treasure not as something to store in homes or banks, but as something reflected in how we care for others—especially our brothers and sisters in need.

At CMMB, we are privileged to witness selfless love and care in the mothers we support. Jeronne, a young mother in Haiti, is among them. Her strength carried her through one of the most challenging moments of her life. We witness the same in community health workers like Christianne, whose faithful service helped Jeronne’s premature baby survive. These are the treasures that cannot be lost. They are acts of love that we can foster and replenish throughout our lives.

We live in a world where it can be easy to place value in what we have rather than who we are to each other. But our Gospel message gently reminds us to live differently. To give generously and serve courageously.

As people of faith, let us remember that our treasure is in connection—how we show up for our neighbors, near and far. And that is an investment worth making.
