As we continue our journey through Advent, we read about John the Baptist in today’s Gospel. He urges people to prepare their hearts for God. As we reflect on his message at CMMB, we are reminded to make space for renewal and that our actions can reflect the goodness we wish to find in the world.

The season of Advent invites us to practice quiet reflection and impactful action—so that we might spread hope, healing, and compassion to those who need it most.

This week, we saw that spirit come alive through your generosity. On GivingTuesday, you helped us reach our match, doubling the impact of every gift. Because of you, families will receive essential care, health workers will be supported, and communities will grow stronger.

Thank you for helping us prepare the way through kindness, solidarity, and a shared belief in a more just and loving world. May this season continue to open our hearts as we “prepare the way of the Lord,” and “make straight his paths.”
