Advocating for the Health of the Most Vulnerable Women and Children

Faith Alliance for Health – CMMB-Healthier Lives Worldwide, Catholic Relief Services, Episcopal Relief & Development, Islamic Relief USA, the Nigerian Interfaith Action Association, and World Vision are working together as an interfaith coalition to advocate for the health of women and children in countries with high maternal, and child mortality and morbidity rates. The Faith Alliance for Health has committed to mobilize one million faith leaders and networks in targeted countries over the next five years. The group believes that building support among local faith leadership and networks can promote both social and behavior change and increase demand for maternal, child and adolescent health services. The plan is part of Faith Alliance for Health’s significant contribution to the next phase of the Every Woman Every Child global initiative.
