Built on the Rock—Your Weekly Reflection

In today’s Gospel, Jesus asks his disciples a defining question: “Who do you say that I am?” When Peter responds true to his faith, Jesus entrusts him with a mission. Jesus didn’t walk alone. He invited others on his journey. He trusted his disciples as his partners, and they built a lasting legacy, driven by truth, love, and service.
At CMMB, we experience the importance of partnership daily. Our mission to serve women, children, and their communities with better health care and hope for the future is one we cannot accomplish alone. Over the past decade, our Access to Medicines Program has brought support to people in 72 countries. Every medicine donated, every shipment delivered, and every patient treated is made possible by collaboration—with corporate donors, mission-driven organizations, logistics experts, and, most importantly, health workers.
When Jesus called Peter the rock on which his Church would be built, he called on him as a partner. Today, we’re reminded that being a partner in faith means stepping into that same calling. It’s a shared responsibility and a shared joy.
May we always be ready to answer that call. May we continue to build something lasting, together.
