Emergency: Haiti Hit by 5.9 Magnitude Earthquake
The death toll in Haiti continues to rise and the number of injured victims has doubled following the 5.9 magnitude earthquake on Oct. 6.
“Most of the victims need emergency surgeries. We need antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicines, and orthopedic supplies to conduct emergency surgeries. The infrastructure is damaged and electricity is a challenge – we need generators.”
– Dr. Dianne Jean-Francois, Haiti Country Director with CMMB
