I am Celebrating My Mother Because:

she, above all people, has taught me how to love, respect, and treat every individual with dignity. My mother has rescued me, given me guidance, and has given me unconditional love before the day I was born. Without my mother, I would not be the individual I am today. Gracias mama, ¡te quiero mucho bambina!

How my mother has inspired me: 

My mother inspires me with her persistence and drive. I remember vividly when I was so frustrated trying to seamlessly drive stick shift when she sat by me for hours. People mocked me for stalling the car and I nearly had a panic attack on the freeway — but she sat next to me and said “You can do this. Anímate bambino.” I will never forget how her faith in me in trying to master a small skill went a long way in giving me confidence and the willingness to never give up. Now I love driving stick shift thanks to my mom!!
