Dutiful Stewards—Your Weekly Reflection

Jesus speaks of a shepherd whose voice is known and trusted among his flock. Each day he leads his sheep towards peace and safety. The sheep follow because of the trust he has so dutifully stewarded through care and compassion.
At CMMB, we recognize this story as an invitation to reflect on what faithful leadership looks like in our own lives. What are the leadership qualities we value? What are the ones we don’t? At the end of the day, leadership is not self-serving. It’s not about being the loudest in the room. True, impactful leadership is grounded in responsibility and care.
Today we finish our series exploring Catholic Social Teachings. The seventh and final theme calls us to protect both people and the planet we share. It is a form of stewardship: leading in ways that safeguard the home that has been entrusted to us—and sharing its abundance with sustainability and equity.
In our own ways, we are each called to lead with that same sense of care. To listen, to guide, and to act with intention, so that a ll may have the opportunity to live fully.
