Rehabilitation with Hope
This little girl loves going to school! Eight-year-old Erika was born with microcephaly. Her brain is abnormally small and underdeveloped. There is no cure. With love and support from her grandmother, our Rehabilitation with Hope program and therapy team in Peru, Erika is making excellent progress and enjoying a better quality of life. Erika's grandmother says, "Do not be afraid of a disability. Yes, it’s difficult at the beginning, but step by step, you will see improvement.” Her grandmother hopes that one day Erika will learn to walk.
