In Solidarity on Palm Sunday—Your Weekly Reflection

In our Palm Sunday Gospel, we witness Jesus’s Passion. We read about moments of betrayal, denial, suffering, and death. But we also see signs that love prevails even in the darkest moments—through the women who Jesus follow from Galilee, through Simon who carried His cross, and through Joseph who tended to Jesus with care and dignity.
The sixth theme of Catholic Social Teaching calls us to solidarity. It’s the conviction that no matter where we live or what we believe, we are one human family. We are called to love our neighbor, especially in places where suffering is real.
Around the world, partnerships in the global health community support locally driven, sustainable solutions. At CMMB, our work is positioned in solidarity with those who are closest to the needs—and best equipped to lead the way.
As Holy Week begins, we are invited to reflect on Jesus’s passion, the actions of those who met him in solidarity, and our own relationship with our brothers in sisters in need today. Will we follow, help carry the burden, or serve with care and dignity?
