In today’s Gospel, we reflect on a value and promise that guides CMMB in all we do: love.

The eleven disciples gathered in Galilee, on the mountain where Jesus directed. Jesus appeared to them and though they worshiped him, they doubted too.

Jesus said, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit…”

He concludes his demands with a promise. Jesus said, “And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Love is among our core values here at CMMB: To embrace and be compassionate towards all people. This is a promise that each one of us makes to ourselves, our colleagues, and the people we serve.

We embrace this value, knowing that love for all people is a promise that Jesus himself embodies. And it is a promise that he expects his disciples to embody when they go on to “make disciples of all nations.”

As we embark on a new week at CMMB, we will lead with love.
