Carol McNutt

Volunteer Position: Nurse Midwife in Mutomo, Kenya

Service Period: April – July 2023

Background: Carol has worked as a nurse for over 40 years and a nurse midwife for 25 years. As she begins her retirement, she is still enthusiastic to give her skills in international voluntary service. Carol has worked as a registered nurse in intensive care, a home health nurse, and a blood bank nurse. She has worked as a birth assistant in free standing and home birth practice. As a nurse midwife, Carol has delivered over 3,000 babies in hospital practice. Carol has also worked as an adjunct clinical professor at Florida State University and has precepted several midwifery students.
