Dr. Michael Pendleton

Experience: Dr. Michael Pendleton is a family physician with 40 years of experience, mostly in rural areas of Oregon and Kentucky. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and has been on the faculty of six medical schools on three continents. Dr. Pendleton led a comprehensive clinic and hospital-based family practice in Oregon which included ER, OB, ICU, and community health services. Beginning in the early 90’s, he began relief work across the globe.
CMMB Volunteer Role: In 2020, Dr. Pendleton will be served in remote village of Gidel in Sudan—home to the Nuba Mountains and Mother of Mercy Hospital. He was responsible for the male ward—the hospital’s biggest ward—and the outpatient department.
