Leigh Borrett

Volunteer Position: WASH Specialist and Engineer in Mutomo, Kenya

Service Period: January – June 2023

Background: Leigh has a MSc and BSc in civil engineering and two years of experience in hydrogeology and climate analysis. She has designed and delivered multiple WASH trainings to communities in Thailand and has a strong interest in community-informed work related to WASH and planetary health. Leigh currently works on the design and construction of water distribution systems in Canada. Leigh has previous experience in an educational initiative in Thailand, including community education on domestic hygiene, sanitation, water treatment, and nutrition. She will play a crucial role in the development and engineering plans of WASH sites in Kenya.
