Description of Partnership:
The Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity is an annual international humanitarian award initiated to recognize and express gratitude to those courageous individuals or organizations that make a positive impact on the preservation of human life and the advancement of humanitarian causes. It is awarded on behalf of the survivors of the Armenian Genocide and in gratitude to their saviors. The Aurora Prize ceremony takes place annually in Yerevan, Armenia. The laureate of the prize receives a $100,000 grant as well as the opportunity to nominate organizations that inspired his or her work.
Dr. Catena, as an Aurora Prize winner, was able to designate agencies to receive a total of $1 million. CMMB was one of the three organization that he chose, and so it received $333,333, split into the 3 projects supported.
