In this week’s Gospel, we read the story of a wealthy man who stores up his harvest, keeping it only for himself. Upon learning that his life is nearing its end, the man makes an important revelation. We cannot measure our lives by what we accumulate, but by how we live out our faith.

Our faith calls us to share not only wealth, but time, compassion, and care. At CMMB, we believe one of the greatest gifts we can share is health. While material goods come and go, good health allows families to thrive, children to grow, and communities to flourish. It is a gift that sustains life itself.

That’s why CMMB works to improve nutrition for pregnant women and children around the world, because we know that poor nutrition can lead to anemia, a condition that puts mothers and children at serious risk. In Peru, we’ve helped women like Veronica, a mother who turned to us when her son was diagnosed with anemia. With CMMB’s support—nutritional counseling, education, and supplements—her son’s health has improved, and his energy and strength have returned. You can read Veronica’s story here.

Consider joining us this week to reflect on what we value most. Are we storing up treasures that serve only ourselves—or are we discovering new riches as we put our faith into action?
