Today is the last Sunday before Christmas. We are cherishing this special season with gratitude in our hearts—for you and your belief in our mission at CMMB. As we prepare to celebrate Christmas, we share our thanks for the trust you put in our work. There is no greater gift.

For us at CMMB, this week’s Gospel is rooted in trust. It begins with Mary entering the home of Zechariah and Elizabeth.

“When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, ‘Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?” – Luke 1:40-43

Mary opened her heart to faith and trusted the path it led her on. Upon welcoming Mary into her home, Elizabeth did the same—and they both were comforted by the gift of the Holy Spirit.

As you set out in the days ahead to greet family, wrap presents, and prepare meals, we encourage you to keep your heart open. Accept with faith and trust the gifts passed among loved ones this holiday season—not just those that sit under the tree.

From all of us at CMMB: Merry Christmas.
