During the season of Lent, many of us look for ways to deepen our faith and reflect. At CMMB, this time of year holds special meaning as we remember and honor the example of Jesus, whose service to the most vulnerable inspires our work.

As we prepare to celebrate Easter, here are five ways to make the most of your Lenten reflections:

1. Find Daily Inspiration in Scripture

Build closeness with your faith and welcome compassion for others by reflecting on the Bible’s timeless passages. Bookmark CMMB’s Lenten Prayer Calendar, or print a copy for your home. Our calendar provides forty days of prayers, perfect for discovering a moment of inspiration while drinking your morning coffee or in the evening just before bed.

2. Pause and Reflect on the Presence of Faith in Our Lives

It’s easy to race through each day, distracted by its pressures and responsibilities. This Lent, pause. Take time to listen to your faith and see its presence in our world. In CMMB’s weekly reflections, we share the Gospel message and reflect on its meaning for our lives and CMMB’s mission.

3. Spread Kindness

Many of us observe Lent by giving up something that is important to us. At CMMB, we invite you to also make Lent a season of kindness in action—spreading love, hope, and compassion to people near and far. Each day during Lent, CMMB posts a kindness challenge on Instagram (@cmmbworldwide). Follow along and embrace simple actions that spread kindness.

4. Donate to an Organization Whose Mission Inspires You

As Jesus lived his life in love and service to the most vulnerable, we are called to do the same. At CMMB, we follow His example by providing women, children, and communities with gifts of health and hope. This Lent, spread Christ’s compassion in the world by donating to an organization that inspires you.

5. Volunteer Your Time and Talent

By performing acts of charity, we serve others and grow closer to faith. This Lent, make a commitment to volunteer your time and talent. Even a short amount of time can make a powerful difference. At CMMB, our volunteers change lives, both remotely and in the field.

Open Your Heart This Easter Season

As we center ourselves this Lent, we are reminded that small acts can bring big changes. We see it daily as we serve women, children, and communities around the world.

When a family gains access to clean, safe drinking water, young girls spend more time in school. A mother who receives basic prenatal care is more likely to give birth to a healthy baby—and stay healthy herself. And when a child with disabilities receives therapy, his family gains an extraordinary gift: hope.

As we reflect on our Lenten journey, we are filled with gratitude for the privilege of serving and for the many supporters who make our work possible. Together, we look ahead to the promise of Easter. As Jesus did, may we continue to spread compassion and hope this season and every season.
