Giving a Voice to the Most Vulnerable

March 8th is International Women’s Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the progress made in righting the wrongs committed against women everywhere and an opportunity to listen to the often silenced voices of women across the world. At CMMB, we believe that today and every day women’s stories must be not only heard, but also valued.

In honor of International Women’s Day we share Malvina’s story, told in her own words. Stories like Malvina’s are a testimony to the lack of opportunity, resources, and the overwhelming discrimination that poor mothers face worldwide. Malvina also exhibits the incredible strength of marginalized women that never give up hope that life will be better for their daughters. By working together, we can give women, girls, and their communities a voice, respectfully listen to their needs, and empower them with tools to advocate for themselves and their families.

Empower a mother living in poverty today.
