
Coleen Hart, MD
Home: Trinidad is home. She explains that her ancestors traveled to Trinidad centuries ago and her family has a long history in the country. However, her parents loved to travel and Coleen spent much of her life living in different places around North America. She has also spent time in Asia and Europe. While she has traveled to South America in the past for short holidays and conferences, the upcoming volunteer placement in Peru will be her first long-term experience on the South American continent and she is very excited to call it ‘home’ for awhile.
Education: She completed all of her primary education in Trinidad, did her undergraduate in Ohio studied medicine in the Philippines. She then returned to the US and completed my residency training in the New Jersey. She has been practicing medicine in Trinidad for the past 13 years.
CMMB Volunteer Role: Pediatrician in Trujillo, Peru.
Interesting Fact: She loves to travel and take part in new cultural experiences.
