Meet Jason (Junjie) He: Volunteer in NYC
Jason He, born and raised in China, acquired his bachelors degree in chemistry at the University of Bristol in England. Jason completed a one year program in Tsinghua University in Beijing, China before coming to New York City. His experiences involve working in a laboratory, new media companies, and volunteering in Cambodia for three months. Jason is volunteering with CMMB as a strategy and innovation intern this summer.
Where is home? I am originally from Canton, China but I currently live in New York.
Education: I completed my undergraduate studies at University of Bristol, England, and then spent a year in Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. I currently attend New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) and am on track to get my MBA, I just finished my first year of graduate school to get my masters and still have another year to go.

If you were asked to sum yourself up in two words, which two would you choose? Lifelong learner
Why CMMB? When I volunteered in Cambodia for three months I loved the experience and wanted to know more about how it all works behind the scenes. I also wanted to learn from a well-structured and developed organization during the summer, so that’s why I came to CMMB.
What are you most proud of? I am most proud of my mind and thoughts.
Imagine you are stuck in an elevator. Who would you most like to be stuck with? And why? Richard Dawkins or Ricky Gervais or maybe Matthew Healy. Their minds are just beautiful.
You are featured in the NY Times or your national newspaper. What’s the headline? You may never know the real him, but now you know a little bit about him.

Imagine if you were an animal or instrument – which would you be and why? Definitely a whale – the biggest, most beautiful, most mysterious creature.
What is your hope for your experience volunteering with CMMB? I hope that I can help the world through my volunteerism contribution to CMMB. I also hope that I will get to know the world better and gain experience that will help me to become a better person.

Who is your biggest inspiration? Why? My friend Zhong. She shaped my values and my mind.
