Delivering Disaster Relief and Supporting Recovery Efforts in Crises
Emergencies arise unexpectedly and require immediate action. From conflicts to natural disasters, the paramount fact about emergencies is that they can occur anywhere and at any time. Working in collaboration with our global networks and partners, we are able to quickly respond to global emergencies in three key ways:
- Directly responding to emergency needs through CMMB-supported health facilities and community interventions, focusing on emergency health and nutrition services, water, sanitation and hygiene, child protection, gender-based violence and other areas as needed.
- Distributing donated medicines, health commodities, and medical supplies to trusted local healthcare partners serving emergency areas for the immediate response and for ongoing recovery efforts.
- Providing financial support to partners on the ground.
Through product donations and cash grants, supporters ensure CMMB can be nimble, quick, and efficient in our response efforts. By working with a large network of partners, including Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, and Sudan Relief Fund, and with the financial support of many others, CMMB maintains its role as an active and trusted participant in global disaster response and recovery.
